The game Lancymad referred to before was in the middle of a three day game where I regretted not going on Sat but went on the Bank Holiday Monday; most enjoyable. Matthew Engel pointed out in The Guardian that Glamorgan became probably the first ever county team to fly from one home fixture to another. They flew from Cardiff to Hawarden, Chester.

They do have some of their own, but advisable to take your own in case they have all gone when you get there!

Remember when Grandstand virtually ignored old Sunday League - except that BBC 2 Wales continued to show Glamorgan games virtually in full?
Glamorgan played Lancs at CB and I watched the game with my TV areal hanging out of my bedroom window, the picture was fuzzy but acceptable and Wasim/Fairbrother (I think) played them off the park. Oh, and Viv Richards got a biggie for them (100?). Think we chased down over 250, a big target in them days.
Was anyone there?

I will go down to the Surrey one dayer, a good early season jaunt.

I hope the out ground is in east lancs for once.
