Our best chance of winning is funnily enough probably being bowled out, but that's also our best chance of losing. Still, it would be better to play a result game than a bore-draw.

Given that the 20/20 is supposed to be the dog's b's, the future, and likely to sell out every seat, it surely makes no sense to give discounts for this type of product.

An alternate idea might be to give out cheapo memberships to us old fossils that prefer the County Championship - given that it's so unpopular, and no one goes and all that...

52 overs by my rekoning so if we can aim for around 4 an over, the target should be a lead of around 270 by close of play. Hopefully with a few wickets left for a 60 minute thrash tomorrow morning & set them about 340 in seventy five overs.

Good work by the bowlers today after the frustrations of yesterday.
Quick runs are needed now without being reckless. I reckon just over 2 full sessions will be required to bowl Hampshire out, so we need a lead of around 250 by the close today.

46 overs left today, 96 tomorrow. If we can get around 180 tonight, then an hours thrashing in the morning and set them over 300 from 80. Can't lose then, depends if we can bowl them out in time.

To win, Hampshire will need 70 more than whatever we get in the second innings.

So even if we were to have a fairly mediocre innings, say 190 all out, Hampshire would still be set a total which they may find challenging, given that they are bottom of the league.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for it to stay dry.
